Our Participation

What we do

Aside from building robots to enter into the FIRST competition, our team constantly attempts to grow in both size and skill. We meet regularly before and after the competition to continue to hone the many abilities vital to our success. We meet during the summer as well in order get ready for freshmen orientation, one of the most important events to our team. Because we're a group dedicated to learning, we never turn anyone away who wishes to learn. Hesitant to join because you don't know anything about robotics? No problem, we'll teach you. We're here to build, learn, and have a good time.

Demonstrations

To promote and inspire science and technology, we perform demonstrations at both our own school and Ford, a local middle school.

At our school, we demonstrate our robots at parent/teacher conferences, pep rallies, and freshman orientation. At these events, we encourage students to take science, technology, and engineering classes while showing off what we've accomplished to the student body. And of course we also try to get more people to join our team.

At our annual visit to Ford middle school, we demonstrate our robots to try and get kids excited about science, technology, and our team. Showing off all of the different aspects of robotics is also one of the ways we recruit some of the kids onto our team. Many of our current and past team members have seen our demonstrations at Ford and joined up when they entered high school.
